null

All annual events are defined by the Annual Programme and Strategy of the Association, based on several subprogrammes, namely: Exhibitions of the Association Members (solo and group exhibitions of the members), Collaboration and partnership events programme (exchange of exhibitions and programmes through the network of associations, events actualised through contracted collaborations), Review Programme (event reviews, theoretical analyses), Educational and research programme (open dialogues, public curation, lectures and seminars), Artist-in-residence programme (working visits of artists from abroad), Publishing programme (annual publication and other professional publications), New artistic practices Programme of the Association (SMIC. International Exhibition of Motion Art Forms).

All the programmes are dedicated to the current artistic creative production of the SULUV members, as well as the content produced by the Association in collaboration with other cultural and fine art institutions and associations.

Annual programme

The project Annual Programme of the SULUV , Gallery includes a programme of exhibition activities, the annual exhibitions in the SULUV Gallery. The annual programme is made on the basis of the calls for participation and selection made by the Artistic Council of the Association, partnership agreements and actualised programmes, and international cooperation with related associations. The Association maintains high criteria by engaging in its Council academically educated and well-known artists, prominent professionals in the field of fine arts, thus contributing to long-term cultural development, as well as general social development. The annual programme of the SULUV Gallery provides a platform for presenting recognisable, authentic and current productions of artists through organising solo and group exhibitions, projects and authorial presentations, guest appearances, lectures, promotions and other activities.

Annual exhibition

The annual exhibition of the SULUV members presents the works of its numerous members of different generations, national affiliations and personal poetics. The annual exhibition of the SULUV members presents the works of its numerous members of different generations, national affiliations and personal poetics. The annual exhibition of the SULUV members was established in 1951 and was a major traditional event for decades, offering an annual overview of the contemporary production of eminent, as well as young and emerging artists, active members of the Association. What makes this exhibition very important today, among other things, is the fact that in 2020 the initiative was launched to hold this traditional event again. For that reason, the initiative to reintroduce the Annual Exhibition of the SULUV Members in the regular programme activities is a very important moment for the further work of the Association, especially in the years when the Association celebrates great anniversaries of continuous multi-decennial work in culture and fine arts. Reintroducing the events such as the Annual Exhibition of the SULUV Members in the programme repertoire of the Association marks yet another transformed perspective of cultural heritage and cultural identity. Returning to such events invites re-examining traditional forms of artistic presentation, such as revue exhibitions, their significance and finding a model by which these forms could be integrated into the contemporary artistic context.

SULUV production

The Production SULUVLUV Production Project (Fine Arts of Vojvodina) offers an annual overview of the Association’s activities in the form of a publication, which presents all events organised in the SULUF Gallery and guest appearances of the Association in other national and international projects and events. These activities refer to an overview of the exhibitions (Annual Programme). The SULUV Production Project stems from the desire to revive and summarise cultural events and make them visible from various perspectives. It is intended for general education of the audience. The project, which presents the programme of the Gallery and the work of the Association, which is conceived in this way, is aimed to objectively and professionally present contemporary visual creativity of well-known local artists and, at the same time, it is anticipated as a platform of the contemporary art scene. In addition, among the key goals is to offer a review of the educational and research programme with a focus on the affirmation of art criticism and valorisation of creativity, opening a cultural field for research intended for the members, artists, the professional public, students, and researchers.

Archival material

The project SULUV Archival Material: Seven Decades of Continuity (1946-2021) , includes: complete digitalisation of the archive since the foundation of the Association (1946) to the present day. The purpose of the project is to preserve all the materials that belong to the cultural heritage of this representative Association, depicting its rich history covering different periods including the one from 1946 (Association of Fine Artists of Vojvodina), 1958 (a branch of the Fine Artists Association of Serbia), 1976 (Association of Fine Artists of Vojvodina), and 1992 (Union of Associations of Fine Artists of Vojvodina). The project focuses on digitisation of the Association’s archives, aimed to preserve and make them accessible for further research. The archive of the Association includes material that testifies both to the work and creative opuses of important artists, and cultural and socio-historical issues surrounding them. The archival material includes biographical and bibliographic data, documents (minutes, letters, rulebooks…), media material, catalogues, editions, publications, published and unpublished studies in the field of art, critical and analytical texts and reviews, documentary material (photographs, videos, audio recordings,…). The main purpose of the digitised material lies in the educational programme and promotion based on printed publications, content featured on the website of the Association and other forms of promotion.

SMIC.

The programme of new artistic practices of the Association aims to affirm the new media artistic practices, as well as to strengthen production capacities in this field. At the same time, it encourages a critical recognition of the driving role of technology in the emergence of new art forms. In terms of development, the project aims to encourage artistic and research procedures and productions through an engaged approach through educational, published categories. The ultimate goal of the project is to create an international platform for educational and creative interdisciplinary processes.
